Rolling Thunder Grill Busser

JOB SUMMARY:

Perform multiple tasks and duties within the restaurant and kitchen as instructed by supervisor and management. Busser job duties include clearing off and sanitizing tables for next group guests, disposing of trash and other waste and keeping the restaurant stocked with adequate supplies such as plates, glasses, silverware and napkins. Busser will help cooks, servers and dishwashers perform small tasks as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Courteous and respectful demeanor toward guests, employees, supervisors and managers.

2. Cross-trains to perform multiple Food and Beverage functions as directed by supervisor and management.

3. Clears dishes, sanitizes and resets guest tables with appropriate settings.

4. Performs work at a fast and efficient pace.

5. Maintains items needed to reset table: bus pan, clean silverware, place mats, clean glasses and any replacement table items.

6. Clears dishes, sanitizes and resets tables.

7. Refills water, coffee and beverages for guests.

8. Assists in seating guests as directed.

9. Works and thinks as part of a team striving to create a pleasant environment.

10. Cleans and maintains the front of house.

11. Cleans and restocks all condiments.

12. Keeps all flooring clean, including under tables.

13. Responsible in the use of potentially hazardous equipment including but not limited to; heavy equipment and sharp knives.

14. Ability to work with some standard cleaning solutions and detergents, always using appropriate safety equipment and precautions.

15. Maintains a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance at all times.

16. Must work with a serving tray at all times.

17. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

· Must be at least 16 years old.

· Must have reliable transportation.

· Must have a minimum of an 8th grade education, able to read and write at an 8th grade level.

· Must have basic mathematic skills.

· Must be able to work as a team and demonstrate a willingness to learn.

· Must demonstrate a positive work ethic and ability to work in a multi-cultural team environment.

· Must be able to repeatedly lift and move 25 up to 50 pounds from knee level to chest level during each shift.

· Must be able to receive and provide direction in English.

· Must have excellent attendance.

· Must be available to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.

REASONING ABILITY:

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and balance multiple priorities successfully.

· Ability to anticipate and respond to guest needs in a timely manner regarding both internal and external guests.

· Ability to work in a team environment is necessary.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· Must be able to lift and move 25 pounds and up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

· Must be able to sit, stand and walk for prolonged periods.

· Must be able to frequently bend, squat, kneel, push, pull and stoop throughout each 8–10-hour shift.

· Must be able to stand on tiled, rubber-mat, and carpeted floors for extended periods of time up to 10 hours at a time.

· Must have good vision, hearing, manual dexterity and flexibility.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

· Must be able to work in crowded areas containing high noise levels.

· Always remains sensitive to cultural diversity in the workplace.

· Ability to work in a team environment is necessary.

· Must be able to work with standard cleaning solutions and detergents, always using appropriate safety equipment and precautions.

· Must be responsible in the use of potentially hazardous equipment including but not limited to, heavy equipment and sharp knives.

· Must be able to work under close surveillance cameras.

· Minors (under 18) are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

· Candidates selected for employment will be subject to Employment reference and Background check.

· Must obtain and maintain a Sky Ute Casino Staff license.

· Must comply fully with all Sky Ute Casino’s policies and procedures, Gaming Code regulations, and any applicable policies and regulations set forth by the Casino Resort.

· Must maintain strict confidentiality at all times, including personnel data, gaming regulations and compliance.

Job Type: Full-time

Base Pay: From $11.79 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
