Fine Dining Host

JOB SUMMARY:

The Fine Dining Host/Hostess will provide an exceptional fine dining experience by delivering first class guest service by greeting and ensuring timely and appropriate seating of guests. The Host/Hostess will assist Manager with table management to maximize seating and assist guests with special requests. The Host/Hostess will answer phone calls and return messages, track reservations and comps, and assist servers when needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Welcome and greet all guests according to Seven Rivers fine dining standards.

2. Seat and direct guests to appropriate table; pulling out chairs, placing clean/current menu in front of guest, etc.

3. Ensure guests are comfortable and welcome if required to wait for seating.

4. Guide guests through the dining rooms and provide any needed assistance.

5. Move and arrange tables, chairs, and settings and organize seating for groups with special needs.

6. Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day.

7. Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and well-being of guests.

8. Speak with customers and coworkers using clear and professional language and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.

9. Assist with meal and beverage service, as well as clean up services when needed.

10. Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance at all times.

11. Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

· Must have a High School diploma or equivalency.

· Must be at least 18 years old.

· One (1) year of Host/Cashier and food service experience in a luxury hotel, resort or fine dining restaurant required.

· Must obtain TIPS certification within first 90 days of employment.

· Must be able to thrive and enjoy in a high-pressure environment.

· Must be able to multi-task.

· Must have the desire to consistently exceed the expectations of our guests.

· Must have excellent communication skills.

· Must be able to receive and provide direction in English.

· Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and balance multiple priorities successfully.

· Must have the ability to anticipate and respond to customer needs in a timely manner regarding both internal and external customers.

· Must have a pleasant and out-going customer-oriented personality.

· Must have reliable transportation to work.

· Must have excellent attendance.

· Must be available to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· Must be able to lift and move up to 30 lbs.

· Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for prolonged periods.

· Must be able to frequently bend, squat, kneel, push, pull, and stoop throughout each 8–10-hour shift.

· Must have good vision, hearing, manual dexterity, and flexibility.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

· Must be able to work in crowded areas containing high noise levels.

· Always remains sensitive to cultural diversity in the workplace.

· Ability to work in a team environment is necessary.

· Must be able to work with standard cleaning solutions and detergents, always using appropriate safety equipment and precautions.

· Must be able to constantly work under close surveillance cameras.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

· Candidate selected for employment will be subject to employment references and background check.

· Must obtain and maintain a Sky Ute Casino Staff license.

· Responsible for maintaining TIPS certification.

· Must comply fully with all Sky Ute Casino’s policies and procedures, Gaming Code regulations, and any applicable policies and regulations set forth by the Casino Resort.

· Must maintain strict confidentiality at all times, including personnel data, gaming regulations and compliance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $11.79 per hour
