Sky Prime Contractor is seeking a licensed North Carolina Electrician to assist with a time-sensitive housing rehabilitation project in Durham NC. The project consists of correcting electrical deficiencies identified during an inspection
This is an excellent opportunity for a dependable electrician looking for short-term, consistent work with the potential for future government and multifamily projects.
Responsibilities
The electrician will inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and test electrical deficiencies, including:
- Replace defective duplex receptacles
- Replace and test GFCI receptacles
- Replace switches and switch plates
- Install and test smoke alarms
- Install and test carbon monoxide alarms
- Troubleshoot and repair dead outlets and circuits
- Repair exposed wiring and electrical hazards
- Replace damaged electrical cover plates
- Diagnose electrical issues with kitchen appliances when required
- Repair or replace bathroom exhaust fans and lighting as needed
- Test all repairs to ensure proper operation
- Document completed work with photos
- Work closely with the maintenance crew
- Ensure all work complies with the North Carolina Electrical Code
Qualifications
- Current North Carolina Electrical License (Limited, Intermediate, or Unlimited)
- Minimum 2 years of residential electrical experience
- Experience with apartment maintenance or multifamily housing preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems efficiently
- Must have own hand tools
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check if required by DHA
- Professional appearance and excellent communication skills
