Experienced Powersports Technician
Full-Time | Experienced Technician | Dealership Service Department
About the Position
We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and dependable Powersports Technician to join our service team! We work on an exciting lineup of powersports vehicles, including Polaris, Indian Motorcycle, Suzuki, Yamaha, Can-Am Off-Road, Can-Am Spyder/Ryker, Slingshot, and Sea-Doo.
The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and diagnostic skills, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is committed to providing excellent customer service. We are looking for someone who can work independently, troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues, and help keep our customers riding and enjoying the water.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and scheduled services on motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, side-by-sides, three-wheel vehicles, and personal watercraft.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, fuel, ignition, cooling, and drivetrain systems.
- Perform engine repairs, rebuilds, and component replacements as needed.
- Identify problems accurately and recommend appropriate repairs.
- Use diagnostic equipment, service manuals, and manufacturer resources to complete repairs efficiently.
- Complete repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications and dealership quality standards.
- Prepare new and used units for delivery and perform pre-delivery inspections (PDI).
- Document repairs, labor, parts usage, and diagnostic findings accurately on repair orders.
- Communicate repair needs and technical findings to service advisors and management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and proper tool and equipment handling practices.
- Stay current with manufacturer service information, technology, and repair procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous professional experience as a Powersports Technician, Motorcycle Mechanic, Marine Technician, or similar mechanical role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proven diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working on powersports vehicles, including motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, side-by-sides, or personal watercraft.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, fuel injection, engine performance, drivetrains, and general mechanical repairs.
- Ability to read and understand service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and committed to producing quality work.
- Ability to provide and maintain professional tools appropriate for the position.
- Valid driver's license required; motorcycle endorsement and relevant certifications are a plus.
