Job Summary
Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY: The Music Instructor expands access to arts education across IEM Charter Schools through arts-integrated instruction, curriculum development, teacher collaboration, and direct student instruction. This position supports the implementation of Proposition 28 by increasing access to music, visual arts, theater, dance, storytelling, and culturally responsive arts experiences while developing sustainable arts programming for future growth. The Music Instructor is a content area expert who provides music education across IEM Charter Schools arts and music integrated instruction, curriculum development, and instruction. This position will teach middle school and high school students through live and asynchronous online instruction using digital curriculum, project-based learning, and industry-relevant experiences. The Music Instructor will organize and implement instructional programs that result in student academic success in accordance with school policies, standards, and laws. Creativity, innovation, and collaboration are highly encouraged. The incumbent is expected to work cooperatively with others to provide the highest level of service possible in accordance with the Guiding Principles of the organization.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: - Application - Current Resume - Letter of Interest - Copy of Transcript - Credential Copy (Proof of a valid Teaching Credential is required.) To be considered for hire, candidates must meet the minimum requirements including a successful interview and successful reference checks. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of Tuberculosis (TB) tests every four years; and passing the relevant Department of Justice (DOJ) background review.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - Education: Bachelor’s degree. - Credentials/Certifications: Valid California teaching credential required. - Experience: Valid California Single Subject Music Credential
