Responsibilities
- Provide real-time interpretation between two or more languages, including American Sign Language, ensuring accuracy and cultural appropriateness.
- Assist clients, patients, or participants by translating spoken or signed communication during meetings, appointments, or events.
- Support communication efforts in high-stakes environments such as medical consultations, legal proceedings, or public service interactions.
- Collaborate with professionals across various sectors to facilitate understanding and ensure information is conveyed clearly and effectively.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards related to privacy and impartiality in all interpretation activities.
- Prepare and organize interpretation materials or glossaries as needed for specific assignments or client needs.

Requirements
- Multilingual proficiency with fluency in at least two languages; additional languages are a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in translation and interpretation across diverse settings.
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is highly desirable; certification preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey messages accurately and empathetically.
- Knowledge of linguistics principles and cultural nuances relevant to the languages served.
- Bilingual ability with excellent listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in all relevant languages.
