Summary: The Harbour Master (General Manager) is the leader of the Sky Harbour Home Base hangar campus at Nashville International Airport (BNA). The Harbour Master plans, directs, and coordinates activities for the general aviation support services (fueling, aircraft towing, hangar and office rental, airport relations, facility maintenance) as well as subordinate personnel at the location. The Harbour Master will promote a positive team environment to ensure a seamless experience for our members (tenants).
This position is based at BNA and reports to the Vice President of Airfield Operations.
Responsibilities:
OPERATIONS
· Implement the Company’s standard operating procedures at BNA, including but not limited to hangar and ramp operations, aircraft fueling, safety procedures, customer service, initial and recurrent training, human resources.
· Develop and maintain positive relationships with Airport Management, local government authorities, and aviation community partners.
· Ensure proper badging and TSA clearances.
· Ensure compliance with Ground Lease terms, Airport Authority, and all local, State, and Federal agencies affecting Sky Harbour operations.
· Keep current on industry best practices and implement at Sky Harbour.
MEMBERS
· Manage member relationships at the BNA campus.
· Communicate with members to promote a high-level of customer satisfaction, utilizing feedback to constantly improve the offering.
· Create initiatives to assist in leasing and marketing.
TRAINING
· Establish a culture that promotes safety, quality control, and employee engagement through daily observations, company communications, shift briefings, routine audits, monthly safety meetings, weekly training, and documented safety procedures.
· Foster a growth mindset among your team to provide unparalleled service to our members.
· Report incidents and conduct investigations to determine root causes.
HUMAN RESOURCES
· Mentor and develop your team of Line Supervisors and Line Service Technicians and conduct annual performance reviews.
· Maintain appropriate staffing levels / make hiring decisions.
BUDGETING and PURCHASING
· Establish and manage operating budget for the campus with the VP of Airfield Operations.
· Procure GSE equipment and service contracts.

Requirements:
· Experience implementing airfield operations procedures.
· Strong written and presentation skills.
· Bachelor’s degree in business, aviation management or related field, or equivalent experience, or combination.
· Five (5) to ten (10) years related experience general aviation management.
· Aviation safety training and risk management experience.
· Excellent skills in leadership, customer service, and developing and motivating personnel.
· Ability to work in a physically dynamic and flexible operational environment.
· Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and web-based applications.
· Must possess a valid driver’s license.
· Must be able to pass airport security background check.
