Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning & Market Development
- Participate in strategic planning sessions and contribute business development insights to company growth strategies.
- Develop targeted strategies to expand market share in key industry segments
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging opportunities, pricing trends, and competitive landscape in the shipping and logistics sector
- Monitor and analyze the dry cargo market (coal, iron ore, grain, bulk commodities), industrial products market, and overall shipping industry trends.
2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Generate leads through networking, industry events, and direct client outreach
- Identify, pursue, and onboard new clients for dry cargo chartering and industrial products transportation services.
- Build and maintain a strong network of industry contacts (shipowners, cargo owners, freight forwarders, stakeholders).
- Nurture and strengthen relationships with existing clients to ensure long-term partnerships and repeat business.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, maintaining regular communication and proactively addressing client needs.
- Achieve assigned sales targets and revenue goals on a quarterly and annual basis.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Risk Management
- Collaborate with operations, finance, legal, and technical teams to ensure seamless execution of client contracts and service delivery.
- Support risk management by conducting due diligence on prospective clients and monitoring credit exposure.
4. Transport Operations Management
- Manage transport operations teams.
- Strategically plan, coordinate, and manage equipment reception and delivery
- Source and supervise suppliers for port services, stevedoring, transportation, escorts, rigging, and site works.
- Plan goods deliveries according to the Scope of Service, supervising and coordinating various asset-based vendors.
- Analyze and evaluate operational risks in coordination with HSSE, Marine Surveyors, Project and Rigging Supervisors, truckers, and clients.
5. Technical & Engineering Support
- Price the transportation of over-sized and heavy equipment, including wind and other project cargo.
- Perform transport engineering calculations using AutoCAD or similar software.
- Draft, prepare, and negotiate standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Key Qualifications
- Extensive and professional experience in land transportation of engineering logistics cargoes would be a plus.
- Good interpersonal communication skills and teamwork spirit.
- Sincerely responsible and High self-motivated working style, ability to think and handle problems independently under pressure.
