About The Role
Sky Climber Renewables (SCR) is seeking Senvion Experienced Wind Turbine Technicians to support active Senvion wind turbine service and retrofit scopes across U.S. wind projects. This role is designed for technicians who have sufficient Senvion experience and can be deployed quickly into the field with minimal ramp-up.
This is not an entry-level role and not a generic travel technician position. This role exists to provide Senvion-experienced technicians who understand Senion controller operation, turbine systems, and basic Lock-out-tag-out procedures and can operate competently from day one.

This is not an entry-level role and not a generic travel technician position. This role exists to provide Senvion-experienced technicians who understand Senion controller operation, turbine systems, and basic Lock-out-tag-out procedures and can operate competently from day one.
What You’ll Do
- Deploy as part of SCR’s qualified field workforce primarily supporting Senvion wind turbine projects, as well as other wind turbine platforms
- Operate a Senvion turbine controller on Senvion MM82 and MM92 variants for basic functions (stop, start, pause, yaw, etc.)
- Perform Senvion-specific Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures in support of mechanical, electrical, and inspection scopes (if applicable)
- Travel 100% on a rotational basis to various wind projects across the U.S.
- Support turbine inspections, maintenance, and service activities
- Execute work in accordance with SCR procedures, SCR safety expectations and customer requirements,
- Follow defined work instructions, maintenance schedules, and task plans
- Assist with troubleshooting and diagnostic activities within scope and training
- Complete all required company and client documentation accurately and on time
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and compliant condition
- Operate company and customer vehicles safely and in compliance with SCR policies
- Escalate technical or safety issues appropriately through defined channels
- Perform additional work activities as directed to support project execution
- Global Wind Organization (GWO) certifications Basic Safety Training (BST), Basic Technical Training (BTT), Advanced Rescue Training (ART) or ability to obtain through SCR training
- Ability to maintain required certifications including OSHA 10, NFPA 70E, CPR/AED, First Aid
- 2-3 years of Senvion MM82 and MM92 specific maintenance experience including controller operation
- Senion specific LOTO training and /or experience is a plus but not required
- Wind industry experience supporting mechanical and/or electrical service activities
- Understanding of basic AC/DC electrical circuits
- Ability to verify electrical connections and follow schematics and work instructions
- Proficiency using standard hand and power tools required for wind turbine service
- Ability to follow work procedures precisely and consistently
- Strong focus on safety compliance, task execution, and documentation accuracy
- Ability to work effectively in structured, rule-driven environments
- Strict adherence to OSHA, customer, and SCR safety policies
- Professional conduct, appearance, and communication on site
- Ability to work independently or as part of a crew
- Willingness to receive direction and follow established processes
- Proactive communication of risks, issues, or delays
- Ability to climb wind turbines vertically 300 feet or more
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work indoors or outdoors in varying and adverse weather conditions
- Exposure to high and low ambient temperatures
- Weight requirement of 120-280 lbs, including clothing, boots, and standard personal protective equipment
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass background check(s) and drug screening
- This is a safety-sensitive position per SENVION and SCR requirements
