We are currently seeking a dependable, compassionate, and hard-working Kennel Assistant to join our growing team. The candidate needs to be warm, friendly, easy going, flexible, and able to work well with their team members and clients.
The Kennel Assistant plays a vital role in patient care and hospital operations. This position ensures hospitalized and boarding pets are clean, comfortable, and well cared for while maintaining a sanitary and organized facility.

Key Responsibilities
Animal Care
- Feed, water, and monitor hospitalized pets
- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and runs
- Walk dogs and provide basic enrichment and comfort
- Monitor pets for signs of illness, stress, or discomfort and report concerns to medical staff
- Assist with patient restraint
Hospital Support
- Maintain cleanliness of treatment areas, exam rooms, surgery suite, dental suite and common spaces
- Laundry duties (washing, drying, folding)
- Restock supplies throughout the hospital
- Surgical instrument processing and sterilization
- Proper disposal of medical and biological waste
- Assist technicians and veterinarians as directed
Qualifications
- Genuine love of animals and concern for their well-being
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments
- Ability to lift 40 pounds and be on your feet for extended periods
- Previous animal care or kennel experience preferred but not required
