Job Overview
We have an immediate opening for an experienced, dedicated support staff to work in the home and in the community with an individual located in Newtown (Bucks County), PA. This is a fast-paced and physically intensive role providing direct care for an individual who requires complete physical assistance.
This position will be scheduled 2-3 shifts a week from 9:00am - 10:00pm (26-39 hours/week).
Open availability, weekends and holidays are required.

Responsibilities
- Redirect the individual safely and effectively as needed
- Cultivate feelings of safety and security for the individual
- Model positive behavior and communication
- Full-assistance with mobility, eating, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, accessing the community, interacting within the community, etc.
- Consistently engage and communicate verbally with the individual
- Maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with family members and other support staff to best meet the needs of the individual
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working 1-on-1 with individuals requiring complete physical assistance
- Experience working with non-verbal individuals
- Experience working with those living with a terminal illness
- Experience working with behavioral health
- Experience working in a family home and community settings
Experience and Education Requirements
- Satisfy one of the following education or licensure requirements:
Active LPN or RN license
OR
Active NADD Competency Based Clinical/Dual Diagnosis/Support Professional Certification
OR
Active Registered Behavior Technician
OR
Active Nursing Assistant certification
OR
Active Board-Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst
OR
A Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, special education, counseling, social work, gerontology or therapeutic recreation
Job Requirements
- Ability to independently lift at least 120 pounds
- A valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation
