The Program Manager in Consumer Electronics is responsible for managing and driving the successful delivery of consumer electronics projects from conception through launch. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, ensuring product quality, and aligning project goals with the company's strategic objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Project Planning and Management

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
  • Define project objectives, deliverables, and milestones in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Manage licensed property product portfolio (including Collaborations, SMU, and LTO projects), and determine timing and implementation of products associated with License. Create brand presentations for internal and external partners.
  • Contract Management and Negotiation - Collaborate with other departments such as Legal and Sales to ensure that all licensing agreements and marketing strategies are aligned.
  • Serve as the main point of contact with outside agencies to ensure we stay aligned to the strategic plan. Serve as project manager to bring together feedback, approvals and meetings with key in house team members.
  • Communicate with internal cross-functional partners to keep all stakeholders up-to-date with ranging developments. Partner closely with Creative, Marketing, Sales, and Direct to Consumer teams.
  • Support in-house licensor programs, liaising with external partners and in-house teams.
  • Collaborate with Marketing teams to ensure effective planning and fulfillment of partnership obligations, including marketing & communications programs and event activations, as negotiated.
  • Analyze data and track key performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of our licensing strategy.

Team Leadership and Collaboration

  • Lead cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to ensure project alignment and success.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members to achieve project goals.

Stakeholder Management

  • Engage with key stakeholders, including executives, customers, and partners, to ensure alignment and support for project initiatives.
  • Communicate project status, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders through regular updates and reports.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and address any concerns or issues promptly.

Budget and Resource Management

  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring projects are delivered within financial constraints.
  • Allocate resources effectively, balancing project needs with available resources and capabilities.
  • Track and report on project expenses, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project management efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and apply them to future projects

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Master's degree and/or PMP certification is a plus.
  • 4 years of experience in project or program management, preferably in the consumer electronics industry.
  • Strong understanding of product development lifecycle and manufacturing processes in consumer electronics.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budget.
  • Understanding and experience in contract management and contract negotiations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., monday.com, MS Project, JIRA, Trello).
  • Knowledge of quality assurance processes and regulatory requirements in consumer electronics.
