We are located inside Costco and support their members! SKripts is a supportive, fast-paced team. Our goal is to provide efficient, high quality care to our patients. We are a retail pharmacy expanding our MedSync program and MTM services. We do not do any long term care, bubble packing, or Medicare Part B billing but do quite a few immunizations.
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, customer-focused Retail Pharmacy Technician to support day-to-day pharmacy operations in a busy retail environment. Working under the supervision of the Pharmacist, this individual will assist with prescription processing, insurance claims, medication preparation, inventory management, patient service, and other operational responsibilities while maintaining a high level of accuracy, efficiency, confidentiality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and enter prescriptions and patient information accurately into the pharmacy system
- Assist the Pharmacist with filling, counting, labeling, packaging, and preparing prescriptions within the technician's authorized scope
- Process third-party insurance claims and assist with resolving prescription claim issues
- Maintain accurate patient profiles, prescription records, and pharmacy documentation
- Assist customers at pickup and respond professionally to telephone and in-person inquiries, referring clinical questions to the Pharmacist
- Receive, organize, and maintain prescription drug and pharmacy supply inventory
- Monitor stock levels, expiration dates, and proper medication storage
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, pharmacy policies, and applicable state and federal regulations
- Support efficient pharmacy workflow and provide a high level of customer service
- Perform additional pharmacy operational duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Active Pharmacy Technician registration with the North Dakota State Board of Pharmacy and current national certification (PTCB or NHA).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong data entry and typing skills with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in basic pharmaceutical calculations, including medication quantities, dosages, and days' supply.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn pharmacy management software quickly.
- Excellent organizational, customer service, and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail pharmacy while maintaining patient safety and confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of retail or community pharmacy experience, preferably in a high-volume setting.
- Strong prescription data entry experience, including speed, accuracy, and days' supply calculations.
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software and prescription processing workflows.
- Knowledge of pharmacy terminology, common medications, and SIG codes.
- Experience with inventory ordering and medication stock management.
- Familiarity with prescription insurance claims and rejection resolution is a plus, but not required.

Schedule:
Hours vary from 8:30am-7pm, 8 hour shifts M-F. Example schedule would be Monday 8:30-5, Tuesday 9-5:30, Wednesday 9:30-6, Thursday 10:30-7, Fridays rotate between those shifts. An occasional Saturday may be requested/ or required if a Saturday falls on holiday rotation.
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
