Tessera is seeking a Project Coordinator who combines technical skills—like project management, cost estimating, and system maintenance—with a positive, affirming approach to teamwork. Typical duties include but are not limited to: Responsible for preparing information, drawings, plans and specifications to complete construction and repair projects. Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors. Manage projects as assigned and utilize the Maximo Computerized Maintenance Management System. Confer with engineers, architects, customers, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates. Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. Consult with clients, vendors, and/or foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing and scheduling work. Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project. Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects, or services, and track actual costs relative to bids as the project develops. Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components. Develop and implement maintenance programs for complex systems. Develop and implement technical training programs for operators and maintenance personnel. Monitor operations and maintenance of complex systems to ensure proper operations/maintenance. Perform life cycle and energy analysis for various facilities, systems, and components. Qualifications: Professional Engineer, PMP certification and IFMA CFM preferred. Bachelor’s degree in General Studies/Engineering/Management preferred. 5 years’ experience with construction materials, methods, practices, and costs required. Ability to use Excel, Word, and Outlook daily. Understanding of terminology and practices of mechanical, electrical, architectural, and civil engineering, design, and construction management preferred. Physical Requirements: Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties. Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required. Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time. Requirements: Valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance carrier.
