Job Summary:
This is a one year, contractual teaching position. The tentative plan for this role is to fulfill the classroom teacher role for two separate classrooms over the course of the 2026-27 school year at Edison School. This tentative plan is subject to change, based upon district needs. The teacher will cooperatively work with other classroom teachers and staff. The teacher will be responsible for the students of the assigned class, effectively teaching the curriculum to meet individual needs of students, evaluating student progress, and communicating progress to parents.

Qualifications:
- Illinois State Board of Education Professional Educator Licensure appropriate to assignment
- ESL endorsement, preferred
- Solution-focused approach to supporting the social, emotional, and academic development of all children
- Experience working within an elementary school setting and a diverse (culturally, racially, ethnically, linguistically etc.) student population
- Fluency in a second language, preferred
