Overview
A long-standing real estate investment and development company with over 30 years of sustained growth is seeking an Asset Manager to oversee a portfolio of 30 multifamily properties totaling more than 3,000 units across Florida and Georgia, including market-rate, LIHTC, and HAP communities. The role requires strong financial and operational acumen, urgency, accountability, and a demonstrated ability to elevate asset performance across a large and diverse portfolio. You will work closely with ownership and third-party management companies to drive NOI, optimize value, and ensure disciplined execution at every property.
- Manage strategic oversight for a 3,000 unit multifamily portfolio with clear focus on NOI growth and long-term value creation
- Develop and execute business plans for each asset, including medium- and long-term strategies
- Improve operational performance across all sites through revenue management, expense control, and capital planning
- Produce and manage recurring reporting packages:
- Monthly property status reports
- Monthly cash needs reports
- Occupancy and financial summaries
- Quarterly budget review summaries
- Quarterly physical inspection reports
- Oversee construction, renovation, and capital improvement projects from planning through execution
- Partner with third-party management companies to ensure alignment on operations, leasing, and financial performance
- Analyze operating statements, balance sheets, rent rolls, loan structures, and budgets
- Oversee insurance renewals and manage claims across the portfolio
- Ensure compliance with LIHTC, HAP, and all regulatory program requirements
- Conduct regular site visits to properties in Florida and Georgia
- Identify risks and opportunities using data-driven analysis and provide recommendations to ownership
- Strong expertise in asset management with a track record of improving cash flow and asset value
- Extensive multifamily experience including market-rate and affordable housing (LIHTC, HAP)
- Strong construction, renovation, and project management experience
- Advanced analytical skills for evaluating performance, market trends, and investment risks
- Strong financial fluency with the ability to interpret budgets, financial statements, and capital plans
- Proficiency in Yardi and strong Excel capabilities
- Proven ability to collaborate with ownership and third-party property management teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly accountable, goal-driven, and able to operate with urgency
- Ability to travel as needed throughout Florida and Georgia
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of multifamily asset management experience
- Prior experience with LIHTC and HAP compliance
- Ability to relocate to West Palm Beach before starting
