What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Maintenance Technician position at SKL'D?
SKL'D is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on a variety of machinery and systems within our client's manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical skills, along with experience working on production equipment in a fast-paced environment. This is a temp-to-hire position in Ellenwood, GA.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair CNC and manual machinery, including machining centers
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on all shop equipment
- Maintain and repair dust collection systems
- Diagnose and resolve issues in electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
- Use schematics, manuals, and technical documentation to identify and resolve equipment problems
- Maintain spare parts inventory and coordinate external service when needed
- Ensure proper Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures are followed at all times
- Support and improve preventive maintenance schedules
- Operate and train others on forklifts as needed
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
Requirement
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of CNC machine maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must have experience with Stiles machinery, dust collection systems, electrical systems, computers, and saws
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
- Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and CNC systems
- Computer literacy and ability to use email, MS Office, and maintenance tracking tools
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and LOTO procedures
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50
- Regular standing, walking, bending, climbing, and working in a loud, non-climate-controlled facility
