Overview: We have several open positions for experienced Bike Rental Sales & Service Associates. In this position you will be the go-to for customers looking to rent bikes. In this role you will greet customers, process reservations, fit customers to a bike, and send them off on their biking adventure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver friendly, knowledgeable, and professional customer service to every visitor.
- Process online and walk-up reservations using our reservation software.
- Know how to refund customers through Lightspeed when needed.
- Prepare bikes for each customer, including adjusting seats, adding accessories, and suggesting where to ride.
- Perform basic bike maintenance skills, thoroughly clean and charge bikes upon their return.
- Provide coverage in other areas of the business as needed.
Qualifications:
- Basic technical knowledge of bicycles, accessories, and clothing.
- Minimum expectation would be 15 hrs./week. Days and hours of work vary depending upon the needs of the business. Weekends and occasional evenings are required.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and managed time effectively and contributed to department performance goals.
- Must be able to use computers, Internet, POS and phones daily. Prior experience working in retail with Lightspeed POS is a plus.
- Ability to remain calm and stay organized in a busy work environment
- Ability to communicate clearly and consistently with customers and coworkers
- Ability to lift 50 pound bicycles onto racks at least 4 feet off the ground several times a day and stand up to 7 hours.
