What You’ll Do
- Perform full-service grooming appointments including haircuts, baths, blowouts, trims, and breed-specific styles
- Consult with pup parents to understand their preferences and communicate grooming plans clearly
- Manage your daily schedule with professionalism and efficiency
- Maintain a clean, organized grooming workspace that reflects Skiptown’s high standards
- Follow grooming safety protocols including proper restraint, tool use, and behavioral handling
- Communicate any health or behavioral concerns to the pup parent or pup Services Manager
- Support the broader team by mentoring Grooming Assistants and Apprentices
- Participate in training, feedback sessions, and quality checks to grow your skills
- Sanitize grooming tools and equipment thoroughly between appointments
- You’re a skilled groomer who values precision, safety, and consistency
- You enjoy building trust and rapport with both pup parents and pups
- You’re confident in your time management and thrive in a high-volume environment
- You take pride in doing things the right way, even when it takes longer
- You want to be part of a team that respects each other and aims high
- Experience with all-breed grooming, including breed-standard and customer-requested cuts
- Leadership experience or interest in mentoring new groomers
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for 8–10 hours per shift
- Comfortable lifting and handling dogs up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in wet, loud, high-energy environments
- Willingness to work with dogs of all sizes and temperaments
