What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Sales Associate position at Skips Candy Corner?
Overview
Standard retail Sales Associate position where you will mostly be expected to greet customers with a smile, help with finding any specific products they might be looking for, and operating the cash register to complete the sale. When there aren't many customers at any given time the expectation is to organize the products and keep the sales floor as presentable as possible.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide knowledgeable assistance.
- Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Stock shelves and organize merchandise to maintain an attractive and accessible store layout
- Handle customer inquiries via phone.
- Support supervising staff in managing inventory levels, stock replenishment, and stockroom organization
The Standard Schedule
Thursday - 10am - 6pm
Friday - 10am - 6pm
Saturday - 10am - 6pm
Sunday - 10am - 6pm
Occasionally, to help with scheduling, you might be asked to work different days or hours than the standard schedule, but we will still aim to schedule you for 32 hours a week.
Each 8 hour shift has a 30 minute break. The timing of the break can vary depending on the busyness of the store and other employees breaks.
