Overview
Join Skipps Sports Academy. We are a growing youth sports organization serving Northern Virginia through after-school programs, private training, and sports enrichment. Our mission is to help kids build athletic skills, confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong love of sports in a fun, positive, and encouraging environment. We offer instruction in basketball, soccer, flag football, pickleball, and kickball/T-ball for elementary-aged athletes.
Responsibilities
- Lead fun, age-appropriate sports activities in basketball, soccer, flag football, pickleball, and kickball/T-ball.
- Create a positive, safe, and encouraging environment where kids build confidence and enjoy being active.
- Teach basic skills, teamwork, sportsmanship, and character through structured games and activities.
- Manage small groups of elementary-aged children with patience, energy, and professionalism.
- Communicate clearly with students, parents, and Skipps Sports leadership to help programs run smoothly.
Qualifications
- Passion for working with children and helping them grow through sports, fitness, and positive mentorship.
- Reliable, punctual, hardworking, and committed to creating a fun and safe learning environment.
- Enthusiastic, energetic, and eager to learn the Skipps Sports coaching philosophy and curriculum.
- Current college student, recent graduate, or pursuing a degree in Education, Physical Education, Sports Management, Recreation, Kinesiology, or a related field (preferred).
- Previous experience playing, coaching, or volunteering in youth sports is a plus, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are most important.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
