Overview
We are hiring a dedicated and enthusiastic Maintenance Supervisor with previous supervising experience preferred. Must enjoy working outdoors. The Maintenance Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the maintenance department, ensuring that all guest rooms, public spaces, mechanical systems, and exterior areas are well-maintained, safe, and fully functional. This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance technical troubleshooting, team management, and vendor relations while keeping guest satisfaction top of mind.
Duties
Daily/Weekly Responsibilities
- Supervise team of 4-5 maintenance workers to complete their daily responsibilities such as keeping pool area clean and organized, removing trash around property, preparing Arrival and Departure rooms for transient guests, maintaining property bicycles and lawn/dock areas, etc.
- Respond to resident service requests throughout the day (light bulb changes, minor HVAC, caulking, painting, appliance repairs, filter changes, etc.)
- Perform on-call emergency service as needed
- Coordinate and supervise work performed by external contractors, vendors, and inspectors as needed
- Assist on special maintenance projects as needed, such as preparing vacant rooms to a market-ready condition
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the grounds and storage areas.
- Open and close the boat ramp as needed
Skills
- Basic computer skills.
- Organizing, filing and scheduling
- Able to delegate work and lead a team of 4-5 maintenance workers
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and collaborate with team members.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices in a resort and marina environment.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may involve lifting and working on your feet.
- Basic carpentry, electric skills, HVAC and plumbing required. Salary ranges based on more advanced skill level and certifications.
