Market Access, Reimbursement & Health Economics Specialist

SkinVision
Amsterdam, NH Full Time
POSTED ON 8/21/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 10/20/2026

Market Access, Reimbursement & Health Economics Specialist at SkinVision:

You will build and own SkinVision's reimbursement and market access roadmap, starting with the Netherlands as first priority, followed by the UK and broader EU markets. You will set up the market access, reimbursement and health economics function from the ground up — this calls for a hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset. You set the framework, prioritise markets, and drive payer engagement directly, supported by local consultants, KOLs and in-market partners where needed.

You will report to the Head of Clinical & Regulatory Affairs – QA, and work daily with Clinical, Regulatory, Commercial and Product teams.

What you will do

  • Define, maintain and execute the reimbursement roadmap across current and future product lines, initially focus on the Netherlands and later UK and broader EU, including country prioritisation and entry sequencing

  • Build and maintain a reimbursement intelligence base: funding routes, codes, tariffs, policy developments, gaps and risks per market

  • Develop value dossiers and economic value propositions that translate our clinical evidence and real-world data into payer-relevant terms

  • Own and further develop our health economics capability: build and maintain cost-effectiveness and budget-impact models, and present them in the form each payer system expects

  • Partner with Clinical and Regulatory teams to align evidence generation (PMCF studies, health-economic analyses, claims-data studies) with payer and HTA requirements, so evidence gaps are closed before submissions, not after

  • Lead and support engagement and negotiations with public and private payers — national health insurers, sickness funds — and with HTA and appraisal bodies (e.g. Zorginstituut Nederland, RIZIV/INAMI, NICE)

  • Monitor reimbursement policy for digital health and AI-based SaMD (e.g. NL funding routes for digital care, Belgian mHealth pathways, NHS frameworks such as DTAC and the NICE Evidence Standards Framework) and identify openings for new codes, valuations or accelerated access

  • Develop KOL and stakeholder engagement strategies that support access objectives, in coordination with Clinical Affairs

  • Provide market access input into business cases, pricing strategy, partnership proposals (insurers, healthcare providers) and board-level decision-making

Your profile

  • 5 years in market access, reimbursement or health economics roles in medical devices, digital health or pharma — digital health / SaMD experience is a strong advantage

  • Deep knowledge of the Dutch reimbursement system; broader EU and/or UK experience strongly preferred. You know how funding decisions actually get made, not just how they are described on paper

  • Hands-on health economics capability: you can build and defend cost-effectiveness and budget-impact models yourself, and you know how HTA bodies and payers want the economics presented — not just how to commission a model from an agency

  • Strong grasp of clinical evidence requirements for reimbursement: study design implications, real-world evidence, evidence-gap analysis

  • Excellent stakeholder management: payers, health authorities, KOLs, and internal cross-functional teams — you can hold your own in a negotiation and in a scientific discussion

  • Entrepreneurial, hands-on builder: comfortable setting up a new function from scratch and designing strategic frameworks in fragmented environments

  • Fluent in Dutch and English; other languages a plus
