Job Overview
We seek a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will develop and implement effective social media strategies that enhance our online presence and engage our audience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of social media platforms, content creation, and relationship management while also being proficient in various design and editing tools. The hours are flexible, approximately 12 – 24 hours per week. We suspect it will be more hours initially, and ongoing maintenance will require less time. Duties
- Assist with website updates and maintenance.
- Develop and execute social media content strategies across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
- Create high-quality, engaging content including graphics, videos, photography, and written posts using tools like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Create and publish engaging and visually appealing content that is relevant, original, and high-quality.
- Manage daily social media activities; schedule posts, monitor engagement, and respond to comments.
- Integrate all channels of marketing (social media, SEO, content marketing, email, print and digital marketing)
- Research industry trends and competitor activities to inform content strategy and optimize performance.
- Proofread all content for accuracy and clarity before publication.
- Analyze social media metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Build and maintain relationships with influencers and community members to enhance brand visibility.
- Generate inbound traffic with search engine optimization (SEO) and digital ads.
- Organize in-office educational and client-appreciation events.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in social media management or digital marketing is preferred. However, we will consider an enthusiastic and talented individual with minimal professional experience.
- A genuine interest in learning about aesthetic treatments and products and sharing that knowledge on social media.
- Strong content creation, video editing, and graphic design skills.
- Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Creative Suite for content creation.
- Familiarity with social media analytic tools to track performance metrics.
- Excellent proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to conduct thorough research on relevant topics to inform content development.
- A positive and proactive attitude. Self-directed.
- Familiarity with Canva, Instagram, Facebook, and MailChimp.
- Website development experience is a plus!
