Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT)
Location: Skincare & Wax Center – Crestwood, KY 40014
Position Overview
Skincare & Wax Center is seeking a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) to join our team. We are accepting applications from qualified candidates interested in full-time, part-time, or commission-based positions. Position type, work schedule, and compensation structure will be determined based on business needs and mutual agreement.
The Massage Therapist is responsible for providing professional massage services within the scope of their Kentucky license while maintaining high standards of client care, professionalism, sanitation, and safety.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide massage therapy services within the scope of licensure, education, training, and applicable Kentucky laws and regulations.
- Perform massage modalities for which you are appropriately trained and qualified.
- Conduct client consultations, review health history, and obtain informed consent before providing services.
- Modify, postpone, or decline services when, in the therapist's professional judgment, treatment is not appropriate or is contraindicated.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential client records in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Follow all sanitation, infection control, workplace safety, and client privacy requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional treatment room.
- Communicate professionally with clients and staff and provide courteous customer service.
- Maintain all required licenses, certifications, and continuing education as required by law.
- Perform other job-related duties as reasonably assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current Kentucky Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) license in good standing.
- Current CPR certification or the ability to obtain certification before the start of employment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as business needs require.
Compensation
Compensation will be discussed during the interview process and may be hourly, commission-based, or another mutually agreed-upon compensation structure, as permitted by applicable law. Gratuities are the property of the therapist in accordance with company policy and applicable law.
