AESTHETIC NURSE PRACTITIONER JOB DESCRIPTION
Skin Synthesis is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner to join our collaborative, patient-centered practice.

Position Overview: The Nurse Practitioner will serve as an advanced aesthetic injector, providing comprehensive consultations, developing individualized treatment plans, and performing advanced injectable procedures. This role collaborates closely with our Licensed Master Esthetician, who leads non-invasive skin rejuvenation services including microneedling, BBL, MOXI, and other aesthetic device treatments. The NP’s primary focus is injectable aesthetics, patient assessment, Good Faith Examinations, medical oversight, and delivering exceptional evidence-based care in collaboration with the clinical team.
Required Skills:
- Possess in-depth knowledge of facial anatomy, physiology, and pathology pertaining to aesthetic and regenerative medicine treatments.
- Proven ability to create effective aesthetic treatment plans.
- Demonstrated portfolio of aesthetic treatment experience, including injectable procedures.
- Demonstrated clinical competency in aesthetic injectables and related procedures.
- Possess ability to follow detailed policies/protocols.
- A keen eye for aesthetic artistry.
- Ability to educate patients on evidence-based skincare and recommend appropriate medical-grade products.
- Basic computer skills and experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Essential Functions:
- Perform medical histories and physical examinations/assessments.
- Provide comprehensive and bespoke consultations and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with master estheticians/other providers and cross refer patients in the clinic.
- Set realistic expectations with patients.
- Obtain procedural consents.
- Perform injectable aesthetic and regenerative procedures within scope of practice.
- Document treatment plan and procedures performed in our EMR (Zenoti).
- Provide quality patient education with each visit.
- Deliver exceptional patient service.
- Build rapport with patients and establish a meaningful connection.
- Follow up with patients regularly to encourage patient loyalty and retention.
Professional Responsibilities:

- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Possess a thorough understanding of Skin Synthesis' clinical protocols, policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

- Participate in required meetings, trainings, educational programs, and promotional events.
- Commit to achieving established key performance indicators (KPIs) and practice goals.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to support practice growth while upholding the mission, vision, and values of Skin Synthesis.

Professional Qualifications:
- Education: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP), or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) program.
- Experience: 2-3 years prior related experience required.
- Licenses: Current, unrestricted, and active Nurse Practitioner WA license required; DEA licensure.
- Certifications: National board certification; BLS certification is required.
- Medical malpractice eligibility.
- Training: Completion of a foundational aesthetics training course is required. Additional aesthetic continuing education, conferences, and advanced training are strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Occasionally stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk and hear.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
Exposure to Hazards:
Exposure to disinfectants, bloodborne pathogens, bodily fluids, latex, and infectious diseases consistent with an outpatient medical practice.
Vaccination:
Skin Synthesis is consistent with state public health orders and policies, requiring employees to show proof vaccination. Medical and religious exemptions from the COVID-19 vaccine are available to those who qualify. Employees who have approved exemptions must follow additional protocols where required, such as enhanced COVID-19 testing, mandatory vaccine-related education/discussions, and/or other infection prevention requirements in accordance with company policy, CDC or state and local public health government orders.
