Have you ever wanted to know how to run a skincare business?
This is your chance to learn it side by side with the owner.
Skin Perfection is a woman-owned skincare company in Boise, founded in 2012. We make peptide-rich skincare and DIY formulation supplies, and we sell on Amazon, Walmart, TikTok Shop, and our own website. We’re looking for an esthetician to work directly with the founder as her right hand. You’ll learn every part of the business, and the founder will personally train you in design and AI tools.
What makes this different from a salon job:
- Steady hourly pay that doesn’t depend on bookings, no-shows, or commission
- A set weekday schedule, with no nights or weekends
- Paid mileage and paid breaks
- Real business training you can’t get in a treatment room
No two weeks are the same. One week you’re shooting product content, the next you’re prepping a big Amazon shipment or helping a customer build a routine. If you like change, variety, and learning something new all the time, you’ll love it here. If you want the same task every day, this isn’t the right fit.
We’re a small team, so reliability matters. We’re looking for someone who shows up on time, communicates early if something comes up, and takes pride in doing things right.
What your week looks like
- Customer Service: Answer customer questions by email and on our sales channels. Use your esthetician knowledge to explain products, ingredients, and routines. We have an easy-to-use system, so you’ll never be guessing.
- Inventory Management: Count and track stock, reorder supplies, and help prepare shipments to Amazon, Walmart, and our 3PL. You’ll follow a clear SOP and a simple system.
- Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and label orders accurately and on time.
- Content & Design: Help create product photos, short videos, social posts, and skincare education content. Design training is included.
- Daily Runs: Post office drop-offs and supply pickups and drop-offs around Boise. Mileage is paid.
What you’ll learn
- How an e-commerce skincare brand runs, day-to-day, across multiple marketplaces
- Graphic design for product images and social media
- How to use AI tools for content, research, and everyday business tasks
- The behind-the-scenes side of product formulation from a formulator with 20 years of experience
Requirements
- Esthetician license, or currently enrolled in an esthetics program.
- Able to commit to Monday–Friday, a minimum of 30 hours every week
- Reliable, with strong basic math skills. You’ll count inventory accurately and add, multiply, and divide quantities every day (for example, cases × units per case, or units ÷ box size).
- Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and car insurance for daily errands
- Able to lift and carry packages up to 50 lbs, multiple times a day
- Able to stand, walk, bend, and stay on your feet for much of the shift
- Organized, detail-oriented, and good at following written procedures
- Clear, friendly written communication
- Comfortable with computers, email, and spreadsheets
Nice to have
- Retail, customer service, or shipping experience
- Interest in cosmetic ingredients or product formulation
- Experience with Canva, social media, or photo/video
How to apply
Submit your résumé and answer the short screening questions below. It takes about 5 minutes.
- Tell us about a time a customer or client was unhappy. What did you do, and how did it turn out? (3–5 sentences)
- If you’re a student: list your school, class days and times, and your expected graduation date.
Quick math check (no calculator needed):
- A shelf has 5 cases of 12 bottles plus 7 loose bottles. How many bottles are there in total?
- The system says 120 jars. You count 112. How many are missing?
- You need to pack 150 units into boxes that hold 24 each. How many boxes will be full, and how many units are left over?
Applications without the screening answers will not be considered.
