POSITION SUMMARY

The Content Creator is responsible for developing, producing, and managing engaging content across multiple platforms, including print media, to support brand awareness, audience engagement, and organizational goals. This role combines creativity, storytelling, and strategic thinking to deliver high-quality content aligned with the organization’s voice and objectives.

OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE

·         Assist in creating multimedia content (videos, graphics, blogs, reels, etc.)

·         Support the planning and scheduling of content using tools like Constant Contact, or Hootsuite

·         Write captions, social posts, and short-form articles aligned with the brand voice

·         Edit short videos using Adobe Premiere, Canva, or similar tools

·         Brainstorm content ideas in collaboration with the marketing, leadership, and events teams

·         Monitor trends, memes, and viral content to incorporate into our strategy

·         Track content performance and suggest improvements

·         Create, edit, and publish compelling content for digital platforms including social media, websites, blogs, email campaigns, and multimedia channels

·         Develop and execute a content calendar aligned with marketing and organizational priorities

·         Collaborate with internal teams to generate content ideas that support campaigns, events, and initiatives

·         Produce visual and written content such as graphics, videos, articles, and promotional materials

·         Maintain brand consistency in tone, style, and messaging across all content

·         Monitor content performance using analytics tools and adjust strategies accordingly

·         Stay current on industry trends, social media platforms, and emerging content formats

·         Optimize content for SEO and audience engagement

·         Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines

MINIMUM EDUCATION, LICENSE, OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

·         A passion for storytelling, design, and social media

·         Basic knowledge of photo/video editing tools (Canva, Adobe Suite, etc.)

·         Strong writing and communication skills

·         Familiarity with platforms like Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube

·         Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines

·         Enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree or certificate program in Marketing, Communications, Media, or related field or 2-4 years of experience in a similar role (preferred)

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
• Proficiency with content creation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, video editing software)
• Experience with social media platforms and content management systems (CMS)
• Basic knowledge of SEO and digital marketing strategies
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Creative thinker with attention to detail

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISORS:   SkillsUSA Ohio Executive Director

COMPENSATION: Salary w2 $55,000-$65,000

Insurance: Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement, and Life Insurance all available
