Nonprofit seeking a Development Director to lead fundraising, relationship management, and strategic growth initiatives within our nonprofit organization. This position focuses on securing financial support, cultivating relations with donors and sponsors, and planning and executing all organizational events to ensure successful fundraising outcomes.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with organizational goals.Identify, cultivate, and steward major donors, sponsors, and partners.Oversee event planning and management for fundraising events, community outreach, and donor engagement activities.Plan, organize, and execute all fundraising events, including galas, benefit events, and community gatherings.Maintain and expand donor database using NEON to track potential, past and current donors.Create messaging, invitations, and promotional materials that drive donor engagement and attendance.Collaborate on marketing and communications strategies to promote fundraising events and initiatives.Work closely with finance staff to set fundraising targets and manage event budgets.Build relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community leaders to support fundraising efforts and event participation.QualificationsBachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, marketing, or related field.Minimum 5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, or event management.Proven success in securing major gifts, sponsorships, and organizing large-scale fundraising events.Excellent skills with the ability to build lasting relationships with donors and partners.Exceptional communication skills for public relations efforts, email marketing campaigns, and presentation development.
