At Skills of Central PA, our Direct Support Professionals provide true hands-on care to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is NOT just companion care or housekeeping—it is direct personal care, including toileting, bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility support, medication administration, and daily living assistance.

We have full-time evening positions available in Carlisle and Mechanicsburg that we would love to discuss with you! All positions (full-time and part-time) require a weekend (Saturday and Sunday, every other weekend) rotation and a holiday rotation.

Our full-time positions are as follows:

• New Bloomfield: Daylight/Evening position (11a-7p) w/ weekend rotation
• New Bloomfield: Evening position (2p-10p) w/ weekend rotation
• New Bloomfield: Evening position (3p-11p) w/ weekend rotation
• Carlisle: Daylight/Evening position (two 10 hr shifts and one 12-hr shift) w/ weekend rotation (6a-2p)
• Carlisle: Daylight/Evening position (11a-7p) w/ weekend rotation
• Carlisle: Evening position (2p-10p) w/ weekend rotation
• Carlisle: Evening position (3p-11p) w/ weekend rotation
• Mechanicsburg: Awake Overnight position (10p-18a/11p-9a) w/ weekend rotation

We have part-time positions available on first/daylight, second/evening and third/overnight (awake) shifts in New Bloomfield, Carlisle and Mechanicsburg. We offer differentials for evening and overnight shifts and weekend hours worked.

Pay rate is based on direct experience.

⭐ What You’ll Do

As a DSP, you will:

• Provide personal care with dignity and respect (bathing, toileting, dressing, feeding, grooming, hygiene support)
• Administer medications after paid training & certification
• Support people with daily routines, skill-building, independence, and community involvement
• Cook, clean, assist with household tasks, and maintain a safe home environment
• Plan and enjoy fun activities, outings, and meaningful social experiences
• Drive individuals to appointments and community events
• Document care and progress using basic computer systems
