Location: Shelbyville, KY
Project Duration: 10 weeks/2.5 months
Pay Rate: $30/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: 40 Hours per Week
Skillforce is currently hiring experienced Structural Mig and Stick welders for a shop job Shelbyville, KY. The ideal candidate will have experience reading blueprints, and performing welds using Mig and/or Stick welding process.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and fabrication plans
Fit and assemble structural steel components according to specifications
Perform Mig and/or Stick welding to secure assemblies
Verify measurements, alignments, and tolerances for accuracy
Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Work effectively with team members to meet production schedules and project deadlines
Requirements
Previous experience as a Structural Welder in a shop
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
Experience using common fabrication tools and measuring equipment
Must possess a 25-foot tape measure and needle-nose pliers
Ability to work overtime and maintain reliable attendance
Must pass all pre-employment screenings, including drug testing and background check
Reliable transportation
