Skillforce is currently searching for a construction safety coordinator for projects in WV, MD, NJ, DE. MUST HAVE CURRENT MSHA CERTIFICATION. Pay is up to $45/hr PER DIEM depending on experience level, skill set and licenses. If you available and qualified apply now! Responsibilities:Ensure all construction activities comply with OSHA regulations, local laws, and industry best practices.Review contractor safety programs for compliance before work begins.Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazardous conditions, unsafe behaviors, and potential risks.Document findings, issue corrective actions, and follow up to verify completion.Monitor high-risk activities such as confined-space entry, hot work, crane operations, and work at height.Lead accident/incident investigations, determine root causes, and recommend corrective measures.Report all recordable incidents according to regulatory and company requirements.Develop and deliver safety training, orientations, and toolbox talks.Ensure all employees and subcontractors understand site rules, PPE requirements, and emergency procedures.Communicate safety alerts, updates, and policy changes clearly and promptly.Maintain updated records of inspections, training, incidents, permits, and safety certifications.Work closely with project managers, supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors to integrate safety into daily operations.Participate in planning meetings (pre-task planning, JSAs/JHAs) to anticipate and mitigate hazards.Support risk assessments and review work plans or method statements for safety issues.Develop and oversee emergency response plans and drills (evacuation, first aid, fire).Coordinate with first responders and ensure emergency equipment is available and functional.Encourage a proactive safety mindset through coaching, mentoring, and positive reinforcement.Recognize safe behaviors and support continuous improvement across the site.Serve as the onsite advocate for workers’ health and safety concerns.Benefits:Up to $45/hrPer Diem availableWeekly payReferral programPaid time off and Holiday payMedical, vision, dental insurance401k
