Skillforce is seeking a skilled Residential Electrician for a Service Technician role with a small electrical business. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity for someone with strong experience in residential electrical service and renovation.
Pay
$32–$34 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule & Location
8-hour shifts
Monday–Friday
Work locations include Maryland, Washington DC, and Northern Virginia
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot residential electrical service issues
Install and service:
Electrical wiring, outlets, and switches
Data wiring
Light fixtures, ceiling fans, recessed lighting, and LED lighting
Security and landscape lighting
Smoke detectors and CO₂ detectors
Electrical panels (heavy-ups), breaker replacements
Appliance outlets and GFCIs
Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of residential electrical experience
Electrical license preferred
Ability to perform service calls in a professional manner
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Requirements
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
Own hand tools
Ability to read and speak English
