As a HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic you are responsible for fabricating, installing, and maintaining high-quality sheet metal ductwork and components and reliable performance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Pay is $32 - $36 depending on experience
Per diem of $125/working day available for those who qualify.
This position is a minimum of 50 hours per week.
HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic Responsibilities:
- Lay out, fabricate, and install HVAC duct systems and sheet metal components
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, specifications, and layout plans
- Cut, shape, join, and assemble sheet metal using hand and power tools, ensuring precise fabrication and alignment
- Install commercial ductwork, including rectangular and spiral systems, along with hangers, supports, and accessories
- Hang duct, set VAVs, RTUs, diffusers, registers, dampers, and flexible components
- Seal systems, ensure proper alignment, and meet quality standards
- Accurately measure, cut, and assemble sheet metal materials
- Follow OSHA safety standards, safety protocols, and maintain a clean, organized work area
HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic Qualifications:
- 5 or more years experience as sheet metal mechanic
- Ability to pass a drug screen (if required)
- Your own reliable transportation and valid Driver's License
- Your own PPE and tools
- OSHA 10 preferred
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
