Skillforce is searching for hardworking, reliable individuals with strong commercial carpentry experience in the following areas, metal stud framing, drywall framing and finishing, trim work and acoustical ceilings. Responsibilities:
- Installs doors, frames and hardware
- Forms and pours concrete
- Lay out and frame walls with wood or metal studs
- Hang and finish drywall
- Install wall protection including FRP board, crash rails, corner guards, etc.
- Install acoustic ceilings
- Installs cabinets, trim and other finish carpentry
- Lays out and installs in-wall blocking
- Install roof blocking
- Hangs toilet partitions and installs restroom accessories
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required protective gear (PPE)
- Measure, mark, and cut materials according to instructions
- OSHA 10 preferred but not required
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 5 years of carpenter experience
- 10 Hour OSHA Certification preferred
- Ability to read building blueprints and tape
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must be willing and able to travel to jobsites which may require overnight stays
- Ability to work at heights on scaffolding and ladders
- Must have a good work ethic, and the ability to understand and carry out written or verbal instructions
- Ability to perform on a regular basis in outside weather conditions consisting of wet, hot, humid and/or freezing temperatures, also contending with dirt and dust
