What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Operator position at Skillforce?
We are currently hiring CNC Operators in Orlando, FL for on-going projects. Pay is $25- $28 per hour based on experience and skill set. As a CNC Operator you are responsible for operating CNC machinery used in large-scale custom fabrication projects. OSHA 10 required - training can be provided for qualified candidates.
CNC Operator Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC routers and/or CNC milling equipment to produce precision parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and work orders.
- Load materials and verify proper machine setup before production.
- Monitor machine performance and inspect finished parts to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Perform tool changes, machine adjustments, and routine preventative maintenance.
- Maintain production schedules while meeting quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, fabricators, mold makers, carpenters, and production staff.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
CNC Operator Qualifications
- Previous experience operating CNC routers, mills, lathes, or similar CNC equipment
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and measurement tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent attention to detail and quality
- Ability to lift materials and work in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in scenic fabrication, custom fabrication, cabinetry, architectural millwork, or themed entertainment is a plus
- OSHA 10 required - training can be provided for qualified candidates.
