Associate Attorney – Family Law
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our Family Law and Divorce practice. This full-time position involves handling a broad range of domestic relations matters, including divorce proceedings, child custody disputes, child and spousal support issues, parenting time matters, and related family law cases.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing cases from inception through resolution, conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, advising clients on legal strategies, negotiating settlements, and representing clients in court proceedings as needed. This hybrid role is based in Southfield, Michigan, offering a combination of in-office and remote work flexibility.
Qualifications
- A minimum of eight (8) years of experience practicing Family Law, with substantial experience in divorce litigation and client counseling.
- Proven ability to conduct thorough legal research, analyze complex legal issues, and develop effective case strategies.
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills, with a track record of achieving favorable outcomes for clients.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain legal concepts clearly and effectively to clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active licensure to practice law in the State of Michigan.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, sound professional judgment, and a commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards.
- Dedication to providing exceptional client service and advocating zealously on behalf of clients.
Salary : $150,000 - $180,000
