We are hiring Fabricators for a growing shop in Tolleson, AZ. This is a great opportunity for candidates with hands-on experience working with metal, reading blueprints, and operating shop equipment. This role offers steady hours with the potential to go permanent.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints
- Set machine stops or guides to specified lengths
- Monitor machine operations and identify defects or malfunctions
- Measure workpiece dimensions for accuracy
- Stack, mark, and package finished products
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 6 months to 1 year of fabrication or related experience
- Ability to read blueprints and perform basic machine maintenance
- Basic computer skills (Windows/ERP systems)
- Strong math skills (fractions, decimals, measurements)
- Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately
- Experience using shop tools such as overhead crane, forklift, wrenches, and grinders preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 50 lbs regularly, 100 lbs occasionally (with assistance)
- Ability to stand, bend, and work in a shop environment
Certifications / PPE:
- Welding hood and gear required
- Must wear OSHA-approved PPE (steel-toe boots, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection)
Additional Requirements:
- Must pass drug test and background check
