Job Responsibilities
- Operate excavators, loaders, skid-steers, and backhoes for foundation prep and sitework
- Perform excavation for footings, foundations, and utility trenches
- Grade and level sites to meet specifications and elevations
- Read and interpret site plans, blueprints, and grade stakes
- Assist with drainage, backfill, and compaction work
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Work safely and efficiently as part of a crew
Qualifications
- 5–10 years of heavy equipment experience, with foundation/site prep focus preferred
- Strong knowledge of grading, trenching, and excavation for foundations
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and elevations
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- OSHA 10 certification
- Strong attention to detail and safety practices
- Good communication and teamwork skills
