What are the responsibilities and job description for the Carpenter-Shop position at Skilled Trades Partners?
We’re looking for a skilled Carpenter to join our shop team. This role focuses on building and installing custom cabinetry, framing, and interior components inside camper vans. If you enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and bringing creative builds to life, this is a great opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Build and install custom cabinetry, shelving, and structural components
- Measure, cut, and assemble wood and composite materials
- Interpret design plans and adapt builds as needed
- Use shop tools and equipment safely and efficiently
- Collaborate with team members on custom builds and project timelines
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Qualifications:
- 2 years of carpentry or woodworking experience (shop experience preferred)
- Ability to read plans and take accurate measurements
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Comfortable working with power tools and shop equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Problem-solving mindset and adaptability in custom builds
- OSHA 10 preferred
Preferred (but not required):
- Experience with van builds, RVs, or mobile interiors
- Knowledge of basic electrical or mechanical systems
- Finish carpentry experience
