Skilled nursing facility in Lima, OH, is currently seeking a new team member to be the Director of Admissions and Marketing. The Director of Admissions shall:
Analyzes market information, trends, and data to develop and execute a strategic marketing plan for census growth, provides customers with facility related information via facility tour, personal visits/assessments, directs the admissions process, and coordinates the public relations functions including marketing and sales calls.
ESSENTIAL POSITIONS FUNCTIONS
- Actively participates in daily team meetings to alert appropriate staff members of projected sales, calls, projected changes in admissions, bed changes, discharges, tours, meetings and upcoming events.
- Maintains company expectations by working with various departments to ensure first impressions and standards are met for maintaining model room(s) for first impressions, cleanliness, room readiness, touring purposes and an overall professional presentation.
- Maintains a close working relationship with Executive Director, Director of Nursing, and Office Manager to ensure appropriate and efficient decisions about prospective admissions.
- Manages the internal admissions system through acceptance of inquiry calls from hospitals, families, etc.
- Provides quality facility tours, maintains current knowledge of bed availability, ensures responses to all inquiries are handled properly, timely, and with appropriate follow-up, and other procedures and services.
- Maintains a working knowledge of federal and state regulations and reimbursement (Medicare and Medicaid) issues.
- Maintains market specific knowledge and updates including hospitals and competitors.
- Participates in new employee orientation through education pertaining to the admission process, marketing role, and customer service.
- Markets externally by making person-to-person sales calls.
- Maintains current list of referral sources.
- Develops and maintains new relationships to result in referrals.
- Serves as a member on community organizations and boards.
- Develops and implements special events to draw public to visit community.
- Increases public relations exposure by regularly soliciting information from department heads and staff members and submitting articles to area newspapers for publication.
- Monitors and achieves appropriate admission/marketing budgets and tracks results.
- Monitors trends for inquiry, admissions, census, closing and denials. Consistently prepares and submits reporting tools accurately and timely.
- Monitors and evaluates customer satisfaction. Audiences might include new admissions, post-discharges, current residents and families, community sources, etc. Shares results with managements team and others as appropriate to develop action plans as needed.
- Communicates knowledge of community and industry trends to appropriate staff.
