Skilled Nursing Facility located in New Haven, CT is seeking a Director of Environmental Services to oversee operations in both its Maintenance and Housekeeping Departments.

Experience working in a skilled nursing facility required.
Primary Functions (including but not limited to):
- Supervise all personnel in the Environmental Services Department along with Housekeeping and Laundry Services.
- Responsible for all maintenance, housekeeping and laundry department operations & personnel.
- Regular inspections of the facility for safety, upkeep, appearance & equipment performance.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness & Safety throughout Facility grounds.
- Plan/Coordinate work schedules and assign staff to established work areas & duties.
- Schedule & ensure completion of all maintenance & repairs.
- Maintains records of all repairs, preventative maintenance, warranties, and inspections
- Assign equipment to staff: monitor daily equipment use, cleaning & maintenance.
- Ensure that all equipment is clean and in working condition at all times.
- Follow Facility Guidelines and Departmental Policies/Procedures.
- Infection Control Policies/Procedures.
- Safety/Fire/Disaster/OSHA/Mutual Aid Planning.
- Quality Assurance Practices.
- CT DOH Standards.
- Strong stress management skills are required
- Provide individual guidance & motivation to employees.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
Strong work ethic, intense drive, and initiative for quality and customer service.
Experience:
Previous management experience in a nursing facility environment.
Familiarity with general housekeeping operations and cleaning solutions in a facility environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
