The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Infection Control RN to lead our clinical safety initiatives. You will oversee our facility’s Infection Control Program in compliance with NYSDOH and CMS regulations, ensuring a safe environment for our residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor, track, and investigate infectious outbreaks within the facility.
Train staff on proper PPE, hand hygiene, and sanitation protocols.
Update facility policies to align with current New York State health guidelines.
Manage mandatory state and federal reporting (including NHSN).
Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
2 years of clinical nursing experience (long-term care preferred).
Specialized training in infection prevention (IPCO or CIC preferred, or willing to obtain).
CDC Infection Control Certification (or must obtain shortly after hire).
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
