We are seeking a State of Ohio Board Certified or Registered Pharmacy Technician to become a part of our team! This position is responsible for the day-to-day tasks necessary to ensure accurate and timely delivery of medications to the end-user in long-term care, hospice and home care settings while working under the direction of a pharmacist. Qualifications:
- Previous experience in pharmacy or long-term care pharmacy
- Must register or be in the process of registering with the State of Ohio Pharmacy Board as a Registered or Certified Pharmacy Technician
- Willing to train if you are newly certified or just finished classes
- Strong attention to detail and very organized
- Must be flexible to learn all areas of dispensing as we cross train our technicians to perform a variety of tasks
- Position will work 4pm-12:45am M-F
- Pays an additional $3/hour in shift differential
- Includes a weekend and holiday rotation (every 3rd weekend and 1-2 holidays)
Responsibilities:
- Measure dosage of medications, according to prescription orders
- Prepare medication and other healthcare products while observing proper handling precautions
- Dispense medications in proper container based on facility expectations within established time frame
- Prepare appropriate logs for tracking monthly accuracy
- General label and/or delivery receipt and review for accuracy
- Monitor storage and inventory of medications and supplies
- Prioritize and manage time appropriately
