We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team. The ADON will assist in managing the overall clinical operations of the facility, support nursing staff, ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and help maintain the highest quality of resident care.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) with the management of all nursing operations
- Support and mentor nursing staff, providing leadership and clinical guidance
- Monitor patient care for quality, safety, and regulatory compliance
- Coordinate nursing schedules and staffing needs
- Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings
- Help develop and implement policies, procedures, and care plans
- Oversee staff education and ensure continued clinical competence
- Serve as acting DON in their absence
- Promote a resident-centered, team-oriented environment
Qualifications:
- Current, active RN license in NY
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and team leadership skills
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations for skilled nursing facilities
- Ability to foster a positive and professional work environment
- Passion for providing outstanding resident care
