The SkillBridge Project & Operations Administrator position provides a dynamic introduction to the intersection of foundational project management and construction project operations. The SkillBridge participant will gain experience in planning, coordination, documentation, budgeting, scheduling, vendor management, and compliance—all in a fast-paced commercial construction environment.
This is an ideal opportunity for service members with strong universal project management skills to learn how those capabilities translate into construction-specific workflows, systems, and deliverables.
Duties and Responsibilities
Project Administration
Company operating hours are Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm. Full-time employees are regularly scheduled and expected to work 40-45 hours per week.
TRAVEL
Our teams meet at the jobsite. Reliable transportation is required to travel between job sites, purchase materials, etc.

Duties and Responsibilities
Project Administration
- Learn to support Construction Project Managers throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Assist with contract start-up and closeout documentation.
- Track bids and monitor the job schedule using Procore and Microsoft Project.
- Assist with RFIs, change orders, and file management.
- Gain hands-on experience using construction project software (Procore).
- Observe how project risks and compliance issues are managed and mitigated.
- Understand how construction teams coordinate logistics, staffing, and subcontractors.
- Learn to process accounts payable and receivable.
- Match invoices to commitments and project budgets.
- Support monthly and project-based billing procedures.
- Review vendor documentation and maintain digital files.
- Gain familiarity with budget tracking, billing cycles, and cost control.
- Help collect and manage essential documentation (insurance, W-9s, contracts).
- Upload and maintain accurate records in Procore and shared drives.
- Learn how compliance and quality assurance are managed in a commercial construction setting.
- Support office supply inventory, equipment rentals, and internal task coordination.
- Learn timecard management, punch map validation, and payroll review support.
- Assist with internal reporting, closeout binders, and email communication routing.
- Gain insight into managing vehicles, mileage tracking, and logistics scheduling.
- Perform all duties and responsibilities as required.
- Ensure a safe work environment for all employees by following safety protocols, identifying, and correcting or reporting safety risks, and maintaining a job site free from debris, clutter, and hazards.
- Be dependable, reliable, and consistent by showing up to work as scheduled, on time and ready to work diligently.

- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in building science, construction management and/or engineering, preferred.
- 10 years of construction experience
- 5 years of construction project management
- Measure/plan, read and follow blueprints with knowledge of building code.
- Knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations; OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30, preferred.
- Ability to represent the company in a business-like manner.
- Knowledge of and experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools
- Daily management software knowledge preferred (i.e. Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite)
- Ability to organize and communicate professionally and efficiently.
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- A valid driver’s license with reliable transportation required
