Are you a commercial strategist and partnership leader ready to make a significant impact on expanding how hardware products are brought to millions of users worldwide? We are seeking a dynamic individual to lead commercial strategy, partner outreach, and go-to-market alignment for an ambitious initiative within Google Play ("Project Shop"). This role offers an unparalleled opportunity to act as a strategic force-architecting partnership frameworks, negotiating complex commercial deals with global hardware OEMs, carriers, and retailers, and driving integrated promotional campaigns across global markets.

• Commercial Strategy & Partnership Architecture: Act as the primary architect of partnership frameworks and commercial strategies to expand hardware sales within Google Play, bringing new partners (retailers, OEMs, and carriers) on board.
• Negotiation & Contracting: Lead complex, high-stakes commercial negotiations, navigating detailed financial models including hardware margins, wholesale pricing splits, and co-funding (MDF/Co-op) agreements to finalize contracts.
• Partner Outreach & Acquisition: Pitch, build, and maintain high-level relationships with major mobile carriers, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and consumer electronics retailers across different global geographies.
• Go-to-Market Alignment & Partner Marketing: Manage post-contracting onboarding, ingest partner promotional calendars and trade-in offers, and integrate them into broader global go-to-market (GTM) strategies and campaigns.
• Commercial Framework Development: Establish and roll out standardized operational and commercial frameworks for hardware distribution on a digital platform, defining key quantitative and qualitative business metrics.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal Product, Engineering, Legal, and Marketing teams, as well as external production and retail partners, to align partner launch calendars with platform capabilities.
• Inclusive Leadership: Champion core values, foster psychological safety within cross-functional project teams, and actively work to build an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives thrive.

• Industry Background: Proven experience in hardware, OEM, carrier, or consumer electronics retail environments (e.g., former Devices & Services or Pixel partner managers).
• Commercial Negotiation Expertise: Deep fluency in structuring commercial deals, contract negotiation, hardware retail margins, wholesale splits, and co-funding/MDF frameworks.
• Partner & Relationship Management: Proven ability to manage, advise, and drive alignment with external C-suite executives, retail buyers, and carrier leads.
• Go-To-Market & Campaign Management: Comprehensive knowledge of go-to-market activities, campaign orchestration, and promotional strategy alignment across hardware and retail channels.
• Data & Business Analytics: Strong capabilities in financial forecasting, market sizing, data synthesis, and business case development.
• Leadership & Influence: Experience with situational leadership and cross-functional alignment across large global organizations.
