As a Network Reliability Engineer, you will play a critical role in building, testing, deploying, and operating highly reliable, scalable network solutions to support Oracle's next-generation Cloud Infrastructure. You will help ensure the reliability and availability of large-scale distributed systems, managing thousands of networking devices.
You will contribute to both proactive and reactive initiatives, including network upgrades, configuration updates, implementing advanced monitoring, swiftly resolving incidents, and continuously improving network performance.
You thrive in a collaborative, agile environment, effectively manage multiple projects and priorities, and consistently deliver results in fast-paced, dynamic conditions. What you will bring:
5 years of experience in networking technologies
Experience working in a large ISP or cloud provider environment
Experience with 24/7 network support and willing to work in rotational shifts in a network operations role.
Proficiency with Python or similar scripting language
Proficiency with network technologies and protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS)
Experience developing network automation or device management solutions
Experience with networking protocols such as TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and SSL Experience with network monitoring and telemetry solutions
Excellent time management and organization skills
Comfortable and able to deal with a wide range of issues in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
Experience with Incident Response plans and strategies
