DSP - Residential

Pay: Full time and Part time $17.60

Available positions:

Back-up/prn fill in positions available for all 3 shifts. $17.00 per hour.

Location: Sanford

Part Time 1st Shift: 7:00 - 3:30pm every other weekend. (Avgs 8 hrs a week). Part Time 1st- 7-3:30pm working 2 days a week, off every other weekend. Averages 16 hrs a week.

2nd Shift Full Time: 40hrs- 3:15-11:45pm off every other weekend,. 2nd Shift Full Time: 3:15pm - 11:45pm. Working 4-5 days (Averaging 36 hrs) a week off every other w/end: F/Time 3;15-11:45pm . Working 3-5 days a week (Averaging 33 hrs a week) off every other weekend.

2nd Shift: "OC" 40 hrs - 3:15pm - 11:45pm -M-Friday. OC- On call responsibility after positioned in DSP position additional training to be on call person. Responsible assurance of following training, fulfilling duties 1 week every 5-6 wks; additional bonus pay for this week.

2nd Shift Part Time: 3:30- 9:00pm working 4-5 days a week (averaging 24.75 hrs a week), off every other w/end. PT 3:30-9:00 pm- 4 days a week -Averaging 22 hrs a week- off every other weekend. PT- 3 days a week-24hrs, off every other w/end work 3:15-11:45pm. 2nd Shift Part Time: 3:30 -10pm working every other weekend (6.5 hrs a week). 2nd Shift Part Time: 3:30-9:00pm. working 1-2 days a week- off every other weekend. Averaging 12.5 hrs a week.

3rd Shift: part Time: 11:30 pm - 7:30 am. (3 days/24 hrs a week).

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for a variety of duties related to providing support and care for individuals living in Skill Creations, Inc. facilities, who have needs in the area of physical /medical care, behavioral support, cognitive support and independent living. The Direct Support Professional provides care according to the specific needs of the individuals. This includes but is not limited assistance and education with personal care, medication administration and independent living skills. Direct Support Professionals also help to transport/accompany individuals to activities in the community and to local or out of town appointments. Hourly pay for full and part time DSP positions in residential facilities begins at $17.60 per hour ( Back up and PRN Employee Positions are paid $17.00 per hour), Full time employees (scheduled 30 hours per week) are offered a competitive benefits package that includes health, dental and life insurance, holiday pay, paid time off and 401K.

Position Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED from an accredited school is required.
• Criminal Record Check
• Prompt and regular attendance for assigned work schedule is expected. Includes working during inclement weather and some holidays.
• A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving is required.
• Course work will be required for successful completion of CPR/First Aid and Behavior Management.
• Basic computer skills are needed for e-mail, electronic training modules and recording data.
• Persons must have the ability to lift 50 pounds and the work occasionally requires balancing, bending, stooping and kneeling. The position requires the employee to be on his or her feet most of the time.
