Customer Service Representative
Location: Fort Mill, SC (Hybrid)
Duration: 3-Month Contract
Pay Rate: $21.00/hour
Job Summary
We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team in Fort Mill, SC. This is a hybrid position requiring candidates to be within driving distance of the Fort Mill office. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service experience, excellent communication skills, and preferably a background in mortgage or banking customer service.
Customer Service Representatives support customers by handling inquiries, resolving issues, and providing exceptional service through phone, email, and written correspondence. This role involves working with computerized systems to track, investigate, and resolve customer concerns efficiently.
Responsibilities
Handle customer inquiries, requests, and service-related issues via phone, email, and written communication.
Resolve first and second-tier customer service inquiries and escalations.
Verify customer contact and account information.
Investigate customer concerns and implement appropriate corrective actions.
Escalate complex issues to supervisors or appropriate departments when necessary.
Maintain accurate logs, reports, records, and customer files.
Track and coordinate resolution of customer issues from start to finish.
Make proactive outbound calls to customers requiring additional support.
Collaborate with internal teams and offshore support centers as needed.
Assist with billing inquiries and coordinate resolution of billing-related concerns.
Process and fulfill customer orders, reconcile information, maintain spreadsheets, and follow up with customers.
Schedule
Initial shift: 11:00 AM or 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM EST
30-minute or 1-hour lunch break
Rotational Saturday schedule (1 Saturday per month)
Opportunity to bid for earlier shifts upon permanent placement
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent
2 years of customer service experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to navigate computerized data entry systems and customer service applications
Preferred:

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
